1. Acceptance & Service Scope

By accessing or using MYTIUS (“MYTIUS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through mytius.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service.

MYTIUS provides an emergency continuity solution that allows travelers to store vital contact references and lodging information, recoverable from unfamiliar browsers using a physical card and a memorized passphrase.

2. Critical Security & User Responsibilities

The cryptographic architecture places specific, non-delegable responsibilities on each account holder:

• Passphrase Memorization: Your emergency passphrase is protected using Argon2id memory-hardened hashing. MYTIUS stores only a salted hash and support personnel cannot view or recover a forgotten passphrase. While authenticated to your account via passkey, you may update or rotate your emergency passphrase at any time; however, if you forget your passphrase and cannot access your account, you will be unable to authorize emergency recovery on a secondary browser.
• Card Safeguarding: You are responsible for keeping your physical recovery cards safe. Each recovery card is single-use for an emergency access session. You should keep an active backup card in a separate secure location.
• Passkey Device Security: Account administration requires biometric FIDO2/WebAuthn passkeys. You are responsible for maintaining control of authorized authenticators.

3. Emergency Reliance & Not an Emergency Dispatch Service

MYTIUS is a personal reference continuity tool, not an emergency dispatch service, medical alert provider, 911 / 112 alternative, or consular authority.

Accessing emergency records requires a functional internet connection and working browser. We do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity or that third-party networks will be accessible in every jurisdiction. You must maintain independent physical copies of critical travel documents.

4. Subscription & Membership Terms

MYTIUS offers free tier preview access and an optional Founding Member membership:

• Sandbox Pilot Status: Paid checkout is currently disabled during the sandbox preview. Test upgrade buttons do not process real credit card payments.
• Early Batch Reservations: Joining our priority batch reservation list indicates interest at the published introductory price and does not obligate you to purchase.
• Future Paid Services: Once production subscriptions open, subscriptions will clearly state billing intervals, card fulfillment fees, and renewal options. Automatic renewals will require explicit opt-in.

5. Account Termination & Key Shredding

You may terminate your account at any time using the self-service “Delete Account” function on your dashboard.

Upon account deletion, your Data Encryption Key is immediately shredded, encrypted records are permanently purged, passkeys are deleted, and active sessions are revoked. Deletion is irreversible.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL MYTIUS, ITS OPERATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS EMERGENCY RECORDS, LOSS OF PASSWORDS, OR UNRELIABLE INTERNET CONNECTIONS.

7. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the service operator. If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
